“Package discrepency error, Cannot resume!” Yeah… VMWare spelled it wrong. VC7.0 Update3D

This error is annoying.. Trying to update to 7.0.3.00500 (U3D)? Getting this error? Here is what you should do…

1. Logon to the VCSA via Putty
2. Mount the ISO on the VCSA from the host to the VM (Via the Web UI not putty)
3. Change to the appliance shell if your using bash
   1. chsh -s /bin/appliancesh root
4. To stage the ISO: software-packages stage –iso
5. To check that the ISO staged: software-packages list –staged
6. To install the staged update: software-packages install –staged
