So, recently, I lost the code to an old safe I have. I had the combination saved in an Outlook contact—but since the safe wasn’t being used, I hadn’t checked it in years. Now, the contact is magically missing.
Then I remembered: “Oh yeah, I have an OLD PST file! I’ll just open that up… (Insert dread sounds here) and find the contact…” Oh, never mind. I don’t care that much.
This is where XST Reader saved me a ton of time. If you’ve ever dealt with PST files, you know how annoying it is to import one when you only need a tiny bit of data. In this case, I just needed to check something once and move on.
With XST Reader, you simply point the program at the OST/PST file, and boom—you’re browsing it in no time. I haven’t explored the app too deeply yet, but so far, it does exactly what it promises.
If you ever need to grab a bit of data from an old PST file without the hassle of importing it, give XST Reader a try!
